Introduction
Revelation = Apokalypsis = “Revelation, disclosure or unveiling” of Jesus Christ!
The resurrection is the central message of the Gospel and the greatest single truth in Christianity!
Without the resurrection there would be no deliverance from sin, not escape from spiritual death and no promise of a future resurrection.
But since Christ did resurrect from the dead, the disciples spent the rest of their lives proclaiming Christ’s death, burial and resurrection:
- Peter preached it for the first time on the Day of Pentecost - Acts 2, 4, 10
- Stephen preached it in Acts 10
- Philip preached it in Acts 11
- Paul preached it in Acts 9, 13 and 28 and to the church in Corinth
