The Origin of the Bible

My purpose is to equip you first of all to be strengthened in your own confidence in the Bible, but secondarily to equip you to be able to
share that confidence with other people who have questions about the Bible. Now, we need to begin with a definition of inspiration. Biblical inspiration is defined as God's superintending of the human authors so that using their own individual personalities and even their own writing styles they composed and recorded without error his revelation to man in the words of the original autographs so that what they wrote was precisely what God wanted them to write. 

The Bible claims to be divinely inspired by God. It claims to be authored by God. There is no other book on the planet that makes these claims the Bible tells us.  In this text this morning that it's God breathed that means inspired that's another translation for the Greek word which means to be inspired but the actual Greek word is God breathed.  It came out of the heart of God out of the mouth of God and was transferred and transmitted to men who became the authors of these various books that we've got now.
