Redeeming the Time - Part 1 (Ephesians 5:15-17)
Tuesday Feb 25, 2025
Tuesday Feb 25, 2025
Time is one of the most precious resources we have! God created time and gives it to us as stewards. If we don't purposefully order our time, we will find that we have no time to do what is important and will barely have the time to do what is pressing.
We need to order our time according to God's purposes and values and unapologetically subject everything that falls outside of this to the back burner.
Eph 5:15-17 “See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time [making the most of every opportunity - NIV], because the days are evil. Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is.” NKJV
Redeem = Exagorazo = “To buy up, to ransom, to rescue from loss or captivity”

My Eyes Are on You - Part 2 (2 Chronicles 20:1-30)

How do you respond in moments of crisis?
Pastor Bob teaches an inspiring message on Jehoshaphat, who although he was an accomplished king, freely admitted he didn't know what to do in crisis, but his eyes were on God and His deliverance.
Jehoshaphat:
Fourth king of the separate kingdom of Judah
The son of Asah: bright lights against the dark paganism that existed during their time.
35 years old when he became king, and he reigned 25 years in Jerusalem
"His heart was devoted to the ways of the Lord" 2 Chr. 17:6
He abolished pagan idolatry
He sent teachers to the people to teach them God's Word. 2 Chron 17:9
He turned the hearts of the people back to the Lord.
Crisis:
A massive invasion mounted by the Moabites, and Ammonites, and Meunites (From beyond the sea, meaning the Dead Sea, where Sodom had stood).
They were already at En Gedi -- which was only about 38 miles from Jerusalem.
We must remember that although Satan's name is infrequently mentioned in the Old Testament, he and his legions had stirred up the hearts of this vast army to bring the work of God in Judah to a bloody conclusion.
We can learn important lessons from how Jehoshaphat responded to his country's crisis. (2013)

Steps to Biblical Reconciliation - Part 1 (Luke 17:1-4; 2 Corinthians 5:15-21)
Tuesday Jan 28, 2025
Tuesday Jan 28, 2025
We all sin and hurt one another unintentionally or otherwise. The thing that should differentiate us as believers is the way we handle our own sin and the sin of others. Biblically, these things should be dealt with in love. But often we find all kinds of excuses for not dealing with the problem directing and in a biblical manner.
In this message, Pastor Bob explains the obstacles to reconciliation, biblical motivation for reconciliation and offers practical steps to reconciling. Click for his Sermon notes and Outline.

Just Tell Me What to Do! Part 2 ( 2 Samuel 18:1-4)
Thursday Jan 23, 2025
Thursday Jan 23, 2025
We can learn a lot from some of the darkest days of David’s life. And life, much less ministry, certainly can throw some serious pain our way. And it’s captured for us in 2 Samuel 18:4 when King David says to his military leaders, “I will do whatever seems best to you.”
If you know David’s history, personality and total dependence upon the Lord, then you immediately recognize with me the incongruence of this statement with the rest of his life. May God use this message to inspire you to continue to draw close to Him. (2005)

How to Maintain Your Spiritual Fervor - Part 2 (Romans 12:11)
Thursday Jan 16, 2025
Thursday Jan 16, 2025
Do you ever feel like you've run out of spiritual gas as a leader? In this message, Pastor Bob talks about how we can keep our spiritual tank full, our leadership focused and our love for Jesus red hot!
"Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord."
Lacking = Okneros = Hesitation through weariness, sloth, anxiety, negligence. If denotes a person who for various reasons or difficulties does not have the resolution to act.
Zeal = Spoude = "Speed", i.e. (by implication) eagerness, diligence, haste.
Fervor = Zeo = "To be hot (boil, of liquids; or glow, of solids)”
Serving = Doulos = "To be a voluntary slave to someone else”
(2008)
