14. Imitators of God | Ephesians 5:1-2

What kind of people we should be now that we have become citizens of the kingdom of God?
He says in Ephesians 5:1 "be imitators of God therefore as dearly loved children and live a life of love just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God"
We should be imitators of not only God but of Jesus Christ all through the Bible we have evidence of that we have Jesus Christ in John chapter 8 saying "I'm imitating the father I don't do anything or say anything apart from the father instructing me to do that what I see the father doing that's what I do." So Jesus Christ himself in his physical form was taking on that modeling and imitation of God the disciples were called to imitate Christ. He said "as I sent as the father sent me, I am sending you." So, there's this this passing on of this baton we have as believers.

13 New Clothes For a New Life | Ephesians 4:25-32

One of the things that is part of the Christian Life is CHANGE, big change, transformation. As we've been going through the book of Ephesians, that's the one main primary thing that Paul keeps getting at is that our destiny is changed.
Our entire life is changed, our citizenship is changed. We've gone from darkness to life, from the kingdom of Satan to the kingdom of God.
We've gone from a place of being separated from the one true God to now having intimate relationship with him. We've gone from being aliens and strangers to the covenants to being now not only friends of God, but the very bride of Christ.
We have completely had a transformation, though it's hard to see physically, spiritually from God's perspective, it's elevated us to a place where we are seated with Christ in heavenly places.
We are now the manifold wisdom of God. The Expression of his very nature on earth to a fallen world So God has elevated us and really taken us from the pit to the place of the palace of his presence.
Along with that, there is a transformation that takes place. God is calling us to change, to be an aroma of God.

12 Out With The Old - In With the New | Ephesians 4

Sometimes we forget how rich we are in Christ, how blessed we are, how much God loves us, how much he's done for us. Sometimes, we have this this heart because of our circumstances, that we're always asking God for more, and we're asking for his help, and we're asking for his effort in our behalf, but then sometimes forgetting everything that he's already done. In addition to all the things that he's done in Christ he's actually seated us with Christ in the heavenly realms and he's made us citizens of the kingdom of God we were like foreigners and aliens to the covenants and the promises of God and because of Christ's work on the cross we had been adopted into the family of God we've been naturalized as citizens of this new Kingdom. We have a new king, and we have a coming Kingdom and all these things are on the map for the believer. These things exist for us, these things are coming for us, these things are promised by God to us, and there are things that we rely on. They are things that we hold on to, there are things that are realities for us as believers and the realities in the kingdom of God.

11. Built Up In Love Ephesians 4:7-16

God does have gifts for us as a church. In this section of scripture, there is a handful that he intentionally, expressively, purposes to let us know about that has to do with the expansion and the building, and the strengthening of the church of God. They are given by God's grace, they are given strategically, and individually, and they are given for the benefit of the body of Christ. We know from other passages that no one person has all the gifts. In fact God has designed it that way so that no one person can operate independently of the body of Christ.

10. Living Up To Our Calling Ephesians 4:1-6

Ephesians 4:1-6 I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received be completely.humble and gentle be patient bearing with one another in love make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace there is one body and one spirit just as you were called to one hope when you were called one Lord one faith one baptism one God.
This passage that we're looking at today God is mapping out through Paul the calling of the church and the quality of our life and the kind of people were to be as representatives of the King.

9 Rooted and Established in Love Ephesians 3:14-21

I'm watching families, sometimes you know married couples, that are struggling and there are these breaches in the relationship and all I can say is: that's the work of the enemy. I see breaches between children and their parents and even in Christian families. That's the work of the enemy. I see breaches in families over money, of all things, stuff that won't last, stuff that doesn't matter in the larger picture. Doesn't matter nearly as much as relationships but people, when their family dies, will then fight over money. 
Churches have problems, ministries have problems, cultures have problems, raceshave problems with one another. Even countries have problems with one another. 
I want to share with you that all these things are evidence of activity not of God, but it Satan himself. One of the problems that I think sometimes we struggle with, is that we get caught in the flesh and blood battle and we forget that God, his design through Christ on the cross, was not just to forgive us of our sins and have peace with him, but he wants to establish peace across the board. He wants to break down barriers, he wants to divide to break down these dividing walls of hostility and because of Christ, the Bible says that he's able to make it possible, and made it possible because of the cross.

8 The Mystery of Christ Ephes 3:1-13

I want to tell you that you have a God ordained appointment and this is one of the beautiful things about the Apostle Paul is that he recognized that the condition of his life and the situation's he was facing he's imprisoned by the way and in the writing of this letter he under house-arrest all of his privileges are stripped away and he's awaiting trial with almost a certain death sentence that's awaiting him and in the midst of this he's got this sense of I'm right in the middle of the will of God and he blossoms and he produces fruit for the glory of God right where he is.

7. Outsiders No More | Ephesians 2:11-22

This gift that we've got of eternal life is from Christ and it's a gift by grace. There is nothing that we could do to earn it, or to achieve it, or to merit it or to maintain it. It's all from God.  Now Paul is going to tell us and remind us about what we were like before all of this goodness from God came to us in the person of Jesus Christ.

6. Back From the Dead | Ephesians 2:1-10

In Revelation, it tells us that he will open that scroll. That scroll is the title deed to the world and God in Christ is going to redeem it. Thank God, and it's going to happen and we're not very far away, and if your vision of heaven is fat cherubs playing harps on clouds in heaven, that's wrong because the Bible says that we're going to have a new heaven and a new earth, a recreated heaven a recreated earth, and we're going to live here, we're going to recognize each other, we're going to have work to do, we're going to have the most fulfilling and satisfying and gratifying life that you can ever imagine, and the gratification and the joy and the abundance will never ever end, it will never become boring, it will never become stale, it will be the most amazing life! It's the life you've always imagine possible but could never quite experience. That's the light, that's coming, in the meantime God has raised us up and he said you're my citizens, you're my kingdom, there's a there's a king and a kingdom and a citizenry. We're the citizenry of that kingdom and God has already positioned us in this high and lofty way telling us these things. And for a very brief period of time, because life goes by fast. I know if you're younger you think it's just crawling but as you get older it like picks up speed very quickly, but it goes by very quickly and then we're going to be a part of this eternal Kingdom. For now, we have the opportunity, as a representative of Jesus Christ, to tell other people about this incredible opportunity to have relationship with God.

5. The Prayer of a Disciple Maker Ephesians 1:15-23

The Holy Spirit has been given to us by God. We got into the boat of the kingdom ofGod by simply hearing the word and then believing the message. That's all that's required and when a person hears the Word, the gospel of salvation that Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins was buried and rose three days later in the power of the Spirit. That simple message, if a person is willing to receive that and repent of their sins and make him the Lord of their life, that person is saved and what that means is that they are in Christ and so being in Christ is a very simple matter. It's life changing experience, but it's a very simple matter of simply hearing the Bible, the gospel believing the message and then responding to it.
