Dads: Duty, Honor, Courage
Wednesday Sep 28, 2022
Wednesday Sep 28, 2022
Thank you, Fathers!! We LOVE you and appreciate you! ❤
This was a Father's Day message that we believe will bless everyone and we hope you enjoy.
"It is not frequent that we hear things like honor, duty, courage, nobility. All of these qualities are being downplayed in our culture. Our moral standards, our ethical standards, our spiritual standards are being dragged down at every turn by the media and by our culture, and even by the school systems.
I want to encourage you men because you you're constantly inundated with a compromised position, you're constantly being invited into a lower standard, you're constantly being invited to be men that are not the men that God has called you to be, and I want to share with you that the Godly, powerful, courageous, honorable, noble men is what you were designed to be.

12 The Heart of a Disciple Maker | Colossians 4:7-18
Tuesday Sep 20, 2022
Tuesday Sep 20, 2022
Paul was such a different person before he came to Christ, he was quite a ruthless, quite self-centered, very interested in climbing the spiritual ladder of Judaism. To see the Apostle Paul who previously was a persecutor of the church and was chasingthe Christians down and having them arrested, and as a result many of them were martyred because of his involvement. It's an amazing thing to me that this man loves people, that he's so different and that he's so transformed.
That's exactly what the Bible says happens when somebody comes to Christ. Before we were Christians, we were like every other person. Our personalities are all different and some are more loving than others, and some are more serving than others, and some are more compassionate than others.

11 A New Paradigm for the New Life | Colossians 3:18-4:1
Tuesday Sep 13, 2022
Tuesday Sep 13, 2022
Paul comes in he gives corrective doctrine to that false teaching and along the way he begins to introduce a paradigm shift for the kingdom of God and the citizens of that kingdom, among whom are those that believe. So, as those who believe, we are a part of this new paradigm shift and Paul has told us that it changes our theology. He told us it changes our morality. He told us that it changes our ethics, and now he's going to tell us it changes our relationships with people. We're going to look at two particular areas that have to do with the relationships of family and then the relationships and work.

10 Extreme Makeover | Colossians 3:12-17
Tuesday Sep 06, 2022
Tuesday Sep 06, 2022
God is really inviting us to an extreme makeover. He wants to do something extreme. In fact, it's so extreme it's not human, it's divine. It's beyond the capacity or capabilities of construction crew, or a team of remodelers, or decorators, or engineers. This is something that only the power of God can accomplish.

Anyone that claims to live in Christ and yet continues in sin, is a liar, self-deceived deluded. They're lying and the truth is not in them and that's why that message over and over and over and so many of the epistles is the same. If you are a Christian, if we walk with God, if we've truly been transformed by the love and the power and the Spirit of God and come to a saving knowledge of Christ, it will produce fruit in the likeness of Jesus Christ. If it doesn't produce fruit in the likeness of Jesus Christ, something's terribly wrong with our theology or our practice.

Paul is addressing false teachers that are in Colossae. The church is four years old Paul and Epaphras, who's the pastor of this church, are in prison. Paul is hearing about the church and he's sending a letter to them encouraging them and all the good that they're doing and all the transformation that's taking place which is evidence of their truly born-again condition but he's also addressing some problems because the church is being infiltrated by false teachers... enjoy the rest of this message

Paul in this book is actually fighting for the freedom of the Colossians in their spiritual life and so he tells them in verse 8, he says see to it that you are not taken captive. Actually, in the in the New King James it says that he's actually encouraging us to not be cheated.

In this sermon, Paul is going to encourage the church even further and we're going to find out more about this church, but we're going to find out a little bit about Paul too, because the Apostle Paul was one of the great leaders in Israel. He was one of the great leaders within the Sanhedrin, the 72 chosen leaders of all of Israel to lead the people of Israel, and he was climbing that corporate ladder within the religious system of Judaism.

"Paul elevates the church because Christ elevates the churchChrist elevates the church and says you are no longer sinners by identity but you are Saints those that are set apart for the work of God this is the first characteristic of a truly born again person is they have embraced this new identity not as ongoing sinners as their identity but as Saints those set apart for the purposes of God"

It really comes down to the person of Jesus Christ. Who was he? That's why I've entitled the message liar Lord or lunatic because you've got to make a choice between one of those three options when we're looking at the person of Christ, and when you make that decision, it changes the course of your life, it changes everything! We pray you enjoy this audio.
