Trust also in me. In my Father's house or in many rooms, if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me so that you also may be with me. be where I am. You know the way to the place where I'm going. Thomas said to him, "Lord we don't know where you're going so how can we know the way?" Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you really knew me you would know my Father as well. From now on you do know him and have seen him.

"My children, I will be with you only a little longer. "You will look for me." and just as I told the Jews, "so I tell you now where I am going, you cannot come. "A new command I give you, love one another. "As I have loved you, so you must love one another. "By this, all men will know that you are my disciples, "if you love one another."
Today we're talking about a number of things that are important. One of the things that I am going to be talking about today is is prophecy. Jesus makes a number of prophetic predictions in this brief passage.

24. Washing the Feet of the Saints or B.A.M.(John 13:1-17)
Tuesday Mar 05, 2024
Tuesday Mar 05, 2024
In this message, Pastor Bob talks about a speaker named the Reverend Larry Jackson. He was speaking at this even and he talked about serving his wife. And he talked about encouraging the men who were there to be excelling in service to their families. Not just reciprocating service, but to excel far beyond the service of their wives. Not to compete, nothing along that line, but just to lay down their lives for their families. And he had a little acronym, B -A -M and it means buy a mile.
kept saying over and over is that whenever he serves in his family, he wants to beat his family in service by a mile. He wants to be so far beyond in service that his life is laid down that it's evident to everyone around him that he is just by a mile out serving his family.
And again, it's not an issue of competition for him. It was an issue of having a laid down life, a servant heart. And so he said every time he he would do this, he'd serve.

23. Costly Christianity (John 12:20-50)
Thursday Feb 29, 2024
Thursday Feb 29, 2024
Costly Christianity is rarely lived out in the Christian community. It doesn't happen very often. I wish it happened more. It's costly because it means that it costs everything. It requires everything of us.
Many people, even in the Christian community, live their Christian lives in such a way that they kind of have a foot in both worlds. They're living their lives. life and still pursuing all of their goals and still trying to obtain and achieve all their objectives while at the same time trying to keep a foot in the kingdom of God and still trying to follow the Lord.

22. Fit for a King (John 12:1-19)
Tuesday Feb 27, 2024
Tuesday Feb 27, 2024
As we touch on this passage today about Jesus being anointed by Mary, you have to remember what brought this occasion to pass in the first place.
It was the resurrection of Lazarus. And we talked about how incredibly miraculous this was. Four days in the grave isn't a pretty sight. We kind of sanitized it in our American thinking.
But in reality, it was bad. It was very, very, very bad and very ugly. And Jesus did something that was astounding by any standards. He raised a man four days dead back to life.

21. The Corruption of Spiritual Leaders (John 11:45-57)
Thursday Feb 22, 2024
Thursday Feb 22, 2024
Remember as we study today that God's primary purpose through Christ not only was to die on the cross but was to reveal the Father. That's what John tells us right in the beginning of the book is that he wanted to reveal the Father, make the Father known.
And as I've shared with you over the last few weeks, the Holy Spirit's job at this point is to make Jesus known. He doesn't draw attention to himself. He doesn't draw attention to his actions, but he draws attention to Jesus.

20. The Lessons of Lazarus (John 11:1-45)
Tuesday Feb 20, 2024
Tuesday Feb 20, 2024
In life, scripture and teaching of the Bible, God is absolutely determined that he gets all the glory for everything.
He wants all the glory. He doesn't want to share it with us. He doesn't want to get pieces of it. He doesn't want portions of it. He wants every bit of it. He wants all of it. And for him to get the maximum glory, the situation most often has to be beyond human possibility.
When it's within our power to act or to be participating in it or somehow, you're a part of it such that when it's all over and God has done the work, it's like, well, yeah, praise God and wow, I don't know if it was him or me or them or who, but God is most glorified when it's without question, all Him!

"I tell you the truth, the man who does not enter the sheep pen by the gate, but climbs in by some other way is a thief and a robber. The man who enters by the gate is the shepherd of his sheep." is the shepherd of his sheep.
The watchman opens the gate for him, and the sheep listen to his voice. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. When he has brought out all his own, he goes on ahead of them, and his sheep follow him because they know his voice.

17. The Real Deal (John 8:31-59)
Thursday Feb 08, 2024
Thursday Feb 08, 2024
In this message, Pastor Bob Hallman draws a parallel between the physical weakening and vulnerability of animals that are not nourished and the spiritual danger of not consistently immersing oneself in the word of God. Pastor Bob emphasizes the importance of nourishing oneself with the word of God to gain strength and avoid becoming prey to the enemy. He cautions against exposing oneself to great danger by not regularly engaging with the teachings of the Bible. Bob also highlights the deceitful nature of satan, who lies and tempts individuals away from making biblical decisions. He stresses the need to consistently honor Christ and hold to his teachings, even in the face of opposition.
Furthermore, the message emphasizes the contrast between believers and unbelievers. Pastor Bob describes believers as those who hold to the teachings of Christ, consistently engage with the word of God, and honor and obey God's commands. He encourages men to lead their families in the word of God and model a consistent devotional life. We can be assured that we are permanent sons or daughters in God's family, set free by Christ. The importance of obedience to God's commands is emphasized, with Pastor Bob reminding us the genuine love for God is demonstrated through obedience. He warns against hypocrisy and highlights the need for a sincere and obedient walk with God to experience an intimate and liberating relationship with Him. The Epic Life!
